ABSTRACT Thesis with the title: "Implementation of the Mazro'ah and Jet Tempur methods in improving the ability to read the Qur'an at the Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadi-Ien Tegal Arum Kediri", Written by: Akhmad Mujibur Rohman, NIM: 128506203005. Supervised by: Prof. . Dr. H. Akhyak, M. Ag. and Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tanzeh, M.Pd.I. Department of Islamic Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, UIN SATU Tulungagung, 2022. Keywords: Mazro’ah method, Jet Tempur method, the ability of reading Quran. The background of this study is one institution commonly enough that uses one particular method of learning the Quran, but the Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadi-Ien, Tegal Arum Kediri, uses two methods of learning the Quran, which are the Mazro'ah method and the Jet Tempur method. The focuses of this study are: (1) How are the stages of implementing the Mazro'ah and Jet Tempur methods in improving the ability to read the Qur'an at the Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadi-Ien Tegal Arum Kediri. (2) How is the process of implementing the Mazro'ah and Jet Tempur methods in improving the ability to read the Qur'an at the Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadi-Ien Tegal Arum Kediri. (3) What are the results of the implementation of the Mazro'ah and Jet Tempur methods in improving the ability to read the Qur'an at the Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadi-Ien Tegal Arum Kediri. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The data were collected by observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of research data that was ranging from photos of activities and also data obtained from the administrators and the Quran’s teacher at PPHMTA. Data analyst that was used by the researcher is data reduction, data presentation, and inference. The results of this study indicate that the Mazro'ah and Jet Tempur methods can improve the ability to read the Quran of students at the Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadi-Ien Tegal Arum Kediri with evidence that there is a change in the students' reading ability of the Quran during the entrance test that was compared with the students' ability to read the Qur'an on the results of the exam scores on the previous semester. The implementation of the Mazro'ah and Jet Tempur methods at PPHMTA is generally the same, that are using student achievement cards, using a deposit system one by one, and teaching student discipline. The difference is that in the Mazro'ah method at PPHMTA students take turns in leading the reading of the Quran in the Mosque using loudspeakers, while the Jet Tempur method at PPHMTA does not use the same. So, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Mazro'ah method at PPHMTA is superior in training students' courage to appear in public. Furthermore, the evaluation used in the Mazro'ah and Jet Tempur methods is an exam every semester. In addition to that, there is also an exam once a month. There are also penalties for students who do not come to class or students who arrive late.
