Keywords: Teachers‟ Strategies, Interesting Learning Activities, Online Learning Pandemic Covid-19 has given a lot of impacts on various aspects especially in education. Because of the Covid-19, learning activities must be accessed digitally. The difficulty of students in understanding the lesson and the monotonous of learning process causes students to lose motivation to learn. Therefore, it can be difficult for teacher to impart knowledge through online learning. This thesis investigates the teaching strategy used by English teacher in creating interesting learning activities during online learning at MAN 3 Blitar. The objectives of this research were: 1) To know Interesting strategies used by English teacher in online learning activities; and 2) to know the learning activities which English teacher used in online learning. This study employed descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects were the English teachers at MAN 3 Blitar. The methods used to collect the data for this study were interview and documentation (transcript of interview and photos taken during the lesson). Interview was held on March 12th 2022 until March 23 rd 2022. An interview is used to gather data from 3 English teacher to find out the strategies used by English teacher in creating interesting learning activities in online learning. The collected data were analysed by Miles and Hubarman theory, they are; data collection, data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusion. This study found that strategies used by English teacher in creating interesting learning activities during online learning, namely: lecture strategy, question and answer strategies, problem solving strategies, and independent learning strategies. The learning activities given during the online learning they are: reading books, telling stories, having dialogues, writing emails, making dialogues, translating simple texts, listening to music, listening to voice notes on WhatsApp. English teacher use several teaching strategies in creating interesting learning activities throughout online learning to maximize learning and motivate students to be actively participate in the learning process. Researchers advise teachers to continue improving and developing learning strategies used to suit thelearning teaching materials that can be used during online learning and offline learning in order to increase interest and enthusiasm for students.
