Muh Basuni, M.Pd.Keywords: misbehavior, teacher strategies, the ron clark story movieMisbehavior in children is a behavior that is often complainedabout by teachers and parents. Misbehavior of students will have a verybad impact on learning achievement at school. The learning atmosphere inthe classroom will also be not conducive. Teachers are required to have agood strategy in dealing with diverse student behavior in the classroom. Inthis study, researchers analyzed teacher strategies in dealing with studentsmisbehavior based on The Ron Clark Story movie using Levin & Nolanand Burden & Byrd theories.There is a problem to be solved in this research namely: (1) Whatare the types of students misbehavior found on The Ron Clark StoryMovie? (2) What are the strategies used by Ron Clark as a teacher indealing with student’s misbehavior? The purposes of this research are (1)To find out the types of students misbehavior found on The Ron ClarkStory Movie (2) To describe the strategies used by Ron Clark as a teacherin dealing with students misbehaviour on The Ron Clark Story Movie.Qualitative approach is used in this study to describe the observedphenomena, where the data is taken from the documentation of The RonClark Story movie in the form of conversations and scenes. The data werecollected by doing some steps: watching the movie, read several articles orfilm synopsis, read the script of the movie and match it with the dialoguein the film, mark the sentences and dialogues, choose sentences anddialogues related to the research question, identifies and draws conclusionsfrom the data that has been collected.The findings show that, on The Ron Clark Story movie there arefour types of students misbehavior they were (1) verbal interruption, (2)off-task behavior, (3) physical movements intended to disturb, (4)disrespect to the teacher and students. And there are four kind strategies indealing with students misbehavior they were (1) Non-verbal intervention(2) Verbal intervention (3) Logical Consequence, (4) Situationalassistance.
