Abstract

This thesis is entitled "Application of Human Resource Management in Improving Employee Performance (Case Study: CV. Biru Atma Jaya in Plosokandang Village, Kedungwaru District, Tulungagung Regency)" written by Erika Retna Sari, NIM. 12405193292, Sharia Business Management Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Supervisor Dr. Suminto, M.Pd.I. This research was motivated by the large number of printing businesses around one of the well-known campuses in Tulungagung, namely Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung State Islamic University where the competition between existing businesses is so tight that printing companies must provide positive value in the eyes of customers, most of whom are university students. One of the problems that can have a positive impact on the company is related to the responsiveness of employees in serving customers. Therefore, the company implements Human Resource Management (HRM) to find prospective employees who meet the best qualifications for company quality. Researchers formulate the problem as follows: 1) How is the planning of Human Resources (HR) CV. Biru Atma Jaya, 2) How to selection of employees CV. Biru Atma Jaya, 3) How is training and development of employees CV. Biru Atma Jaya, 4) How is performance appraisal of employees CV. Biru Atma Jaya. This research approach is a qualitative descriptive approach in the form of case studies, with primary data in the form of observations, interviews, documentation, and secondary data in the form of reference books, journals, websites, and other sources. The analysis technique used is data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results obtained are as follows: 1) HR planning is carried out with the planning activity stage which includes short-term planning, namely the recruitment period, interviews, until passing the training for one month. The medium term, that is, with a work span of three months and above, employees will get an increase in salary of up to 1 million. Whereas in the long term, that is, the working time span is more than one year, employees will get a salary increase up to the UMK range with conditions for increased performance as well, 2) Selection is carried out in three stages, namely administrative selection, namely collecting application letters, CVs, KTPs, final diplomas, and supporting certificate. Interview selection by answering 20 questions that will be asked by the interviewer, and one-month training selection conducted by prospective employees after passing the interview, 3) Training and development programs are carried out by understanding the material book provided, carried out while participating in training selection and when you have become an employee, 4) Evaluation of employee performance is carried out when evaluation and coordination are held every month and the assessment is carried out based on predetermined SOPs.
