Abstract

The thesis entitled “Commognitive Students in Solving SPLDV Material Problems at SMK PGRI Kras Kediri” was written by Ilham Budi Santoso with promoter Dr. Ummu Sholihah, S.Pd,, M.Sc. and Dr. Dewi Asmarani, M.Pd. Keywords: Commognitive, problem solving, SPLDV. Problem solving is one of the goals of learning mathematics. But many students have trouble solving problems, especially when it comes to two-variable systems of linear equations. To solve the SPLDV problem, steps are required to complete it. In these steps there are routines and word usages that are cognitive components. Commognitive is a theory that links communication within students to their own thought processes, expressed in written and oral forms.. The objectives of this study were: 1) to describe the commognitive nature of climbers in solving SPLDV material problems; 2) describe the commognitive type of campers in solving SPLDV material problems; 3) describe the commognitive type of quitters in solving material SPLDV problems. This study uses a qualitative approach. The data source is five students from Class X AKL (Institutional Financial Accounting) SMK PGRI Kras Kediri. The data collection technique consists of observation, questionnaires to find out the students' AQ type, and tests with simple story questions and AKM questions. Data analysis through data reduction, presentation and verification. The results showed that 1) commognitive type of campers in solving simple problems and AKM-based problems in SPLDV material based on the IDEAL level using word use, visual mediator and narration in the problem identification phase; Word use is in the goal setting phase, word use is in the strategy setting phase, routine is in the calculating and solving phase of problems, and routine is in the correcting work phase. In AKM-based problems, there is additional components, namely routine in the problem identification phase; 2) commognitive of camper-type students in solving simple problems from SPLDV material based on the IDEAL level using word use, visual mediator and narrative in the problem identification level; Word use is in the goal setting phase, word use is in the strategy setting phase, routines are in the calculating and solving phase of problems, and routine is in the correcting work phase. But in AKM-based problems only on problem identification, so the commognitive component that appears is a visual mediator; 3) commognitive of quitters in solving simple problems of SPLDV material based on the IDEAL level occurs only at the problem identification stage, so the commognitive component that appears is a visual mediator.
