Magister Program. State Islamic University of Tulungagung. The 1 st advisor is Dr. Dwi Astuti Wahyu Nur Hayati,S.S., M.Pd. and the 2 advisor is Dr. Sukarsono, M.Pd. Keyword : Plagiarism, Writing Thesis In the globalization era, the existence of technology in various fields is able to make everything easier to do something and find any information. Based on this phenomenon come the term of virtual class, in the virtual class, sudents can learn everywhere and every time, students can easily get information from internet, sharing or exchange their task from electronic mail or other electronic message become easy. The use of media in education, not only give a good impact but provide several gaps for negative act such as plagiarism. The objectives of the research is find out the perceptions and factors of Undergraduate Students of English Education Department UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung about plagiarism in completing thesis. The researcher used a mix method to collect the data from the students’ perception by conducting interview and giving quesitonnaire. The data collected from graduated students in 2020 and 2021 which have been finished their final assignment. The sample were 8 students selected by purposive sampling. The findings of the research of the results of sudents’ interview and also questionnaire showed that the Regulation become the highest factor chosen by the students, the difficult to find an idea to write become the main factor in doing plagiarism, Students are doing plagiarism because they are desperate with their problem to show the idea. Moreover there is no clear regulation or rules againts plagiarism and there are no strict penalties for those who did plagiarism, for this reasons, it become easier for students to do plagiarism because there is nothing to be afraid of. nd
