Jannah, Puri Agata Ayu Nur. NIM 12203193038. 2023. The Effectiveness Of Video Exciting English Youtube Channel On Speaking Skill Of The Eight Grade Students at MTs Darul Hikmah, Tulungagung. Thesis. English Education Department. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic University Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Susanto, S.S.,M.Pd Keywords: the effectiveness, video exciting english youtube channel, speaking skill Speaking is a one off the skills that considered difficult for students who are learning English in a classroom environment. Some of students are anxious to speak English. This is because of the classroom learning style, a lack of interaction between students and teachers, and other things. There are various beneficial methods and techniques for teaching and educating students in general. Especially in the current era of modernization, learning can use media, one of them is YouTube. In this study, the researcher used video on exciting English youtbe channel to measure students‟ speaking skill in the class. This study conducted to find out the significant difference on students‟ speaking skill before and after using video exciting english youtube channel. The researcher used quantitative research method, especially pre-experimental research design by using pre-test and post-test as the method to collect data. This study chose the population at eighth grade students of MTs Darul Hikmah, Tulungagung and the sample was VIII G students which total 34 students. The data results were the analyzed using Ttest formula. The data analysis showed that the mean pre-test score was 64.76 and the mean post-test score was 87.00. It showed that there was different students‟ score after being taught by using video on exciting english youtube channel. The paired sample test yielded a significant (two-tailed) value of 0.000. Based on the data, the significant value (sig. 2-tailed) was less than the level significance 0.05, hence the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. It meant that used video on exciting english youtube channel had an effect on the students' speaking ability in this learning. As a result, this study was effective on eighth students' speaking abilities at MTs Darul Hikmah, Tulungagung.
