Keywords: Effectiveness, Communicative Drill Strategy, Pronounciation Ability. language as "a system of sound and words used by humans to communicate thoughts and feelings. Language is used to create a meaningful communication among human beings. In other words communication is the main function of language. Communication is impossible without shared knowledge and assumptions between speakers and hearers, To make good oral communication, we should pronounce the words correctly. Good communication is dependent on how well a listener understands what a speaker says. In a speaking lesson, one of the language factors that produces good sounds is pronunciation. So, pronunciation is an important first step in becoming a skilled speaker. Pronunciation is essential for English conversation because it prevents misinterpretation. knowing the phenomenon above, the writer tries to test these problems in learning pronunciation by establishing a communicative drill strategy as a learning strategy to be tested on students whether the strategy affects their abilities in pronunciation or not. The problem formulation for this research is as follows: Is there a significant effect in using the communicative drill strategy on the pronunciation skills of 8th grade students at MTs Bustanul ulum, Minggirsari Knigoro Blitar?. While the purpose of this research was to see is there any significant affect by using the communicative drill strategy on the pronunciation abilities of 8th grade students at MTs Bustanul Ulum, Minggirsari Kanigoro Blitar. This study's research model was pre-experimental, with a one-group pre-test and post-test quantitative technique. The population in this research was 8th grade students from MTs Bustanul Ulum, Minggirsari Kanigoro Blitar, and the sample consisted of 32 female students from MTs Bustanul Ulum and Minggirsari Kanigoro Blitar. The tests utilized in this research was the pre-test and post-test, the evaluation tool was the pronunciation assessment, and the data is analyzed using an independent sample T-test. According to the findings of this research, the use of the communicative drill strategy effected the pronunciation ability of 8th grade students at MTs Bustanul Ulum, Minggirsari Kanigoro Blitar. This has been shown by the average pre-test and post-test scores of students, with the average value of the pre-test or test scores before students carry out learning using the communicative drill strategy being 56.28, and the average value of the post-test scores or tests carried out after students carry out learning using the communicative drill strategy being 84.47. A side from the average student test scores, the results of hypothesis testing show that this method affects students' abilities, with the significant value in this study being 0.000, which is less than 0.050, indicating that the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. As a result, this study concluded that the communicative drill strategy has a significant effect on students' pronunciation abilities, particularly eighth grade students at MTs Bustanul Ulum, Minggirsari Kanigoro Blitar.
