Keywords: Augmented Reality, Writing, Descriptive Text. Writing is a linguistic activity that plays an important role in the dynamics of human civilization. This is a mechanistic skill that every individual must have in order to be able to communicate, express ideas both from within and outside themselves, and be able to enrich their experience to achieve modern progress. For this reason, an appropriate support is needed in the learning process for students' systematic writing skills. Augmented Reality is a form of modern learning media that combines the real world with the virtual world through three- dimensional animation at the same time. This media is used during the learning process to stimulate enthusiasm and focus on students' writing skills. The research problem in this research is: Is there any significant different scores in writing Descriptive Text before and after being taught using Augmented Reality at MTs Aswaja Tunggangri Tulungagung? The objectives of this research is: To know the significant difference score in writing Descriptive Text before and after being taught using Augmented Reality at MTs Aswaja Tunggangri Tulungagung. In this research, the research method used was quantitative with pre- experimental (one-group pre-test post-test design). The population chosen was all eighth grade students at MTs Aswaja Tunggangri, with VIII-C class totaling 19 students (10 boys and 9 girls) as the research sample. This research instrument uses tests (writing test). The researcher conducted this study in 5 meetings where the first meeting began with a pre-test, then continued treatment for 3 meetings and a post-test at the last meeting. After the results were obtained, the data were analyzed using the T-Test (Paired sample t-test) in SPSS 25.0. The final results of calculations and data analysis show that the mean value of the post-test data from the research sample has a higher position than the results of the pre-test data with a value of 42.10 < 76.28. Apart from that, the result sig. (2–tailed) with a significance value (α) = 0.050 from this t-test also displays a value of 0.000, namely 0.000 < 0.050 which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that the use of this media is effective because there is a significantly different of mean score in writing Descriptive Text before and after being taught using Augmented Reality at MTs Aswaja Tunggangri Tulungagung.
