Advisor: Dr. Erna Iftanti, S.S., M.Pd Keywords: Student Perception, Instagram, English Learning The problem in this study is that students' English skills are still lacking. Rapid technological developments are important in facilitating and improving English learning, one of which is writing ability. The purpose of this study is to use Instagram by students to learn English and to find out students' perceptions of using Instagram in learning English. The research method used is a qualitative research method with descriptive analysis. The subjects of this study were fifth-semester English students majoring in English class E at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. To test the validity of the data, researchers used triangulation. In this data, triangulation was carried out by collecting the results of interviews with students majoring in English who usually use Instagram, then analyzing and obtaining data based on the formulation of the problem. The result of this study is that using Instagram to learn English is very useful. One of them is the use of the caption feature. All students understand how to use Instagram because the features and applications are attractive and easily accessible to everyone worldwide. The benefits of using Instagram alone are pleasing yourself and improving your English skills. Students' perceptions of using Instagram, namely Instagram, are exciting to use as a medium for improving their English skills. They tend to have motivation after being given feedback by other people on the writing they made.
