Keywords: effectiveness, Learn English Vocabulary TFlat, vocabulary mastery This thesis is written to effectiveness the students’ vocabulary mastery by using Learn English Vocabulary TFlat. The app was an Android application created by TFlat Học Tiếng Anh, with a device capacity of 18 MB. It offered a variety of English content in the form of several mini-games, making learning English vocabulary easy, fun, and interesting. The researcher focuses on one research problem formulation: Is the use of the ‘Learn English Vocabulary TFlat’ Application effective on the Vocabulary Mastery of the Seventh Grade Students of MTsN 5 Tulungagung? The purpose of this study was to measure the effectiveness of “Learn English Vocabulary TFlat” application and sets clear expectations for the Vocabulary Mastery of the Seventh Grade Students of MTsN 5 Tulungagung. The design of this research is an experimental design with a quantitative approach. The population of this research is the seventh-grade students of MTsN 5 Tulungagung. The sample is class VII F which consists of 26 students. The teaching technique used by the researcher is a drill technique. Pre-test and post-test are the tests used in this research. The data analysis of this research used the paired sample t-test. The results of the research indicate that the use of ‘Learn English Vocabulary TFlat’ application media is effective for vocabulary mastery. It can be seen that the average score of the students' pre-test was 70.19, while the average of the post-test was 83.65. The result of Paired Sample Test shows that the sig. the 2-tailed was 0.000. The significant level was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). Thus, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. Therefore, there was a significant difference in students’ vocabulary mastery before and after treatment with 'Learn English Vocabulary TFlat' application, which was included in the vocabulary mastery component. The components were covered Word-forms (Phonetic transcription & Structure of vocabulary) & Word Classes (Part of Speech) and Word-meaning (translation). In other words, it can be concluded that the use of the ‘Learn English Vocabulary TFlat’ application was effective in enhancing the vocabulary mastery of seventh-grade students at MTsN 5 Tulungagung. Furthermore, this application can be used as an alternative medium to improve vocabulary mastery for students at the junior high school level.
