This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 4th semester English Department students at the Universitas Islam Negeri Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung with a sample size of 40 students which the sample was gotten by simple random sampling. Data analysis was carried out using correlation analysis and multiple linear regression test calculations. The research results showed that there was a correlation between study group involvement, learning motivation, and students' ability to speak English. Based on the results of the correlation analysis, there is a weak relationship between speaking ability and peer involvement. The correlation coefficient of 0.332 is in the range of 0.21-0.40, and the significant value of 0.036 is less than 0.05, so Ha is accepted. Furthermore, the correlation between speaking ability and learning motivation was found to have a significant value of 0.000, less than 0.05, which is considered acceptable. The correlation coefficient was found to be 0.607 in the range of 0.41-0.70, indicating a moderate-to-normal level of relationship. Finally, the F test of the relationship between students' speaking ability, group participation, and learning motivation obtained a significant value of 0.036, lower than 0.05. Then, higher the involvement of peers in the group, the higher the learning motivation, the better the students' speaking skills.
