Abstract
ABSTRACT Rensma Saldah Ismawati. 2025. “The Influence of Discovery Learning Model and Project Based Learning on Students’ Learning Motivation at SDIT Al-Asror Ringinpitu Tulungagung”. Thesis, Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah State Islamic University of Tulungagung. Thesis Advisor: Dr. Adi Wijayanto, S.Or., S.Kom., M.Pd., AIFO. Keywords: Discovery Learning Model, Project Based Learning, Learning Motivation This research is motivated by the problems that occur in SDIT Al-Asror Ringinpitu Tulungagung, especially in grade IV students who pay less attention to teachers and are busy playing and chatting with their friends during the learning process using conventional learning models. So the researcher experimented using the Discovery Learning learning model and the Project Based Learning Model in the subject of Science. The Discovery Learning model, which is commonly referred to as the discovery learning model, is a learning model that is centered on students actively learning by searching for and finding concepts of learning materials to be studied. While the project based learning model or commonly referred to as the project-based learning model, is an active learning model that involves students in the learning process through exploration in solving the problems given. The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) The influence of the discovery learning model on students' learning motivation at SDIT Al-Asror Ringinpitu Tulungagung. (2) The influence of the project based learning model on students' learning motivation at SDIT Al-Asror Ringinpitu Tulungagung. (3) The difference in influence between the discovery learning model and the project based learning model on students' learning motivation at SDIT Al-Asror Ringinpitu Tulungagung. This researcher uses a quantitative approach with the type of research used is Quasi Experiment. The population in this study were students of class IV-A, IV-B and IV-C at SDIT Al-Asror Ringinpitu Tulungagung, consisting of 18 students of class IV-A, 20 students of class IV-B and 19 students of class IV-C. So that the total sample in this study was 57 students. The sampling technique used the Probability sampling technique of the Simple random sampling type (Random Sample). The results of the Independent Sample T-test analysis obtained that (1) there is an influence of the discovery learning model on students' learning motivation at SDIT Al-Asror, with a sig value of 0.044 <0.05. (2) there is an influence of the project based learning model on students' learning motivation at SDIT Al-Asror, with a sig value of 0.000 <0.05. (3) there is a difference in the influence of the discovery learning model and the project based learning model on students' learning motivation at SDIT Al-Asror Ringinpitu, this can be seen from the further test or Posh Hoc Test with the results that the discovery learning model on the project based learning model with a sig value of 0.208 > 0.05, so there is no significant difference. The project based learning model on the control class with a sig value of 0.000 <0.05, so there is a significant difference. The discovery learning model for the control class with a sig value of 0.078 > 0.05, so there is no significant difference.
