Registered Number Student 1880510230018, 2025. “The Effectiveness Using Floop Platform on Students Ability in Writing Recount Text of the Tenth Grade at SMK Negeri 1 Kras Kediri”. Thesis . English Language Education Department. Graduate Program. UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Advisor : Dr. Hj. Ida Isnawati, M.Pd. Dr. H. Nursamsu, S.Pd.I.,M.Pd. Keyword : Writing Recount Text, Peer Feedback, Floop platform Technology has grown recently. Floop is an educational platform that allows students to provide and receive structured feedback based on predetermined criteria defines by their teacher. Floop gives the teachers additional chances to assist in the feedback giving process, enabling them o use their abilities and skills to create an environment where language learners can use the input they get (Janar, 2022). This research examines how well the Floop platform works to provide peer critism for recount text written by tenth grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Kras Kediri. the researcher formulated the research question as follow: “Is there any significant difference between students ability in writing recount text taught by peer feedback using Floop platform and without using Floop platform?” This research, the researcher used quasi-experimental research method. The population of the research was the 10th graders at SMK Negeri 1 Kras Kediri. Population in this research 302 students. The sample of the research was 68 students, which were selected by using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument of the research is writing test in the form of an essay. The test was given twice, in pre-test and post-test. After conducting the both tests, the researcher analyzed the data using SPSS 22 with the formula independent sample T-Test to know significant different score of two group. The result of this research showed that Floop platform was effective in students writing ability. The result could be seen based on data the data analysis in the following points: 1) the mean score of the students on the pre-test was 43,314 for experimental group and 44,242 for control group. 2) the mean score of the students on the post-test was 60,114 for experimental group and 54,424 for control group. 3) the result of independent sample T-Test at the significance level of 0,05 indicated she significant values (sig-2 tailed) were 0,032 it is smaller than 0,05 (1,032 < 0,05). As the result, there is significant difference in students’ writing ability using Floop platform. Overall, from the data of this research,it could be concluded that students’ writing skill, especially writing recount texts have increased. Advice for teachers is that they must be prepared in all aspects (physical, psychological, material, and technological). Teachers must be more creative in using media in learning. Then, for futher researcher, use tests with other themes to find out in depth data about students’ writing skills in recount text. x
