Abstract

ABSTRACT Dissertation with the title “The Instruction Management to Increase Al-Qur’ān Memorizing Quality (Multisites Study at Pondok Pesantren (PP) Madrasatul Qur’ān Tebuireng Cukir Diwek Jombang dan Pondok Pesantren Taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān (PPTQ) al-Ma’rūf Juranguluh Kedawung Mojo Kediri)” is written by M. Munif guided by Prof. Dr. H. Imam Fuadi, M. Ag., and Dr. H. Teguh, M. Ag.. Keywords: Instruction Management, Memorization Quality, Qur'an This research is motivated by a phenomenon in society, namely the establishment of many institutions concentrating on taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān or flagship taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān programs conducted by formal and non-formal institutions. However, in reality, some institutions only plan memorization targets in terms of quantity without being accompanied by good and correct quality of memorization according to the rules of faṣāḥah, tajwīd, including makhārij al-ḥurūf, and taḥfīẓ. Based on this background, this research raises the question of how the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning can improve the quality of Qur’ān memorization, with a multisite study at Pondok Pesantren Madrasatul Qur’ān (MQ) Tebuireng Cukir Diwek Jombang and Pondok Pesantren Taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān (PPTQ) al-Ma’rūf Juranguluh Kedawung Mojo Kediri. The research method used in this study is a multisite study as the research design with a type of field research and a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. To check the validity of the data, credibility (persistent observation, source and method triangulation, peer discussion, and member check), transferability, dependability, and confirmability were used. Data analysis was carried out through single site analysis which includes data condensation, display data, conclusion drawing and verification, as well as cross-site analysis and research propositions. The research findings indicate that the management of learning in improving the quality of Qur’ān memorization has been going well and in accordance with the predetermined goals. The details of the findings and results of this research cover several aspects. First, learning planning involves strategies, methods, social interaction, and collaboration, time structure, and class or study group organization. The implementation of learning includes supervision of implementation, the role of mentors or guiding teachers, as well as extracurricular or community-based activities. Learning evaluation includes specific criteria or indicators, the use of feedback, and evaluation results used to adapt future teaching strategies and planning.
