However, in reality, many students find it difficult to understand the material if it is only taught in a conventional manner. To overcome this, more interesting and innovative learning methods are now being developed, such as using songs and digital stories. Songs can help students learn vocabulary and sentence structures in a more enjoyable way. Meanwhile, digital stories add visuals and a narrative flow that make it easier for students to understand the content and more engaged during learning. The research questions are: 1) How do students perceive the use of a combination of songs and digital stories to improve listening skills? 2) What are the benefits of using a combination of songs and digital stories as a strategy to improve listening skills? The objectives of this study are: 1) to determine students' perceptions of the use of a combination of songs and digital stories to improve listening skills; 2) to determine the benefits of using a combination of songs and digital stories as a strategy to improve listening skills. The research use a quantitative approach with a descriptive statistic to analyze it. The subjects of this study are students majoring in English Education at the State Islamic University Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. The main sample in this study consists of 105 sixth-semester students who have participated in listening instruction using a combination of music and digital storytelling media. This study used a questionnaire as the primary instrument for data collection. The data obtained were analysed by interpreting the average scores of each statement, from the highest to the lowest scores, and then drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that most students have a positive perception of the use of a combination of songs and digital storytelling in listening skill learning. Students felt that this method helped them understand vocabulary, intonation, and the context of the material in a more engaging and enjoyable way. These perceptions can serve as a reference for lecturers or teachers in designing more creative and effective learning strategies in the classroom. Additionally, students can also become aware of their strengths and weaknesses in listening to English and find appropriate ways to improve their skills through media that align with their learning styles.
