English Education Department. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic Institute (IAIN) of Tulungagung. Advisor: Nany Soengkono Madayani, SS. M.Pd. Keywords: Achievement, English Achievement, Parent, Parental Support. Achievement is the abilities of the students after receiving learning experience. Student achievement essentially it includes the areas of cognitive, affective and psychomotor oriented learning process experienced by students. English achievement is something done successfully with effort, skill in aspect of reading, listening, speaking, and writing. In the process of learning, parents have very important role. Parent is a family component consists of father and mother, and it is a result of a legal marriage bound. Parents have responsibility to keep, educate and guide their children to reach the certain levels to be ready in the social context. Parents play very significant role for the development of the children. It is not only in the social interaction but also in education. Parental support is family support, family support is defined as parental support of the children in the form of parent’s availability to provide what is needed by the children, in the form of the time to accompany the children, the full understanding of parents to recognize and know the capacity of capability and lack of children, and provision of access facilities that help build children’s self-concept. The formulations of the research problems were: 1) How is the parental support of the seventh grade students at MTsN 7 Tulungagung? 2) How is the English achievement of the seventh grade students at MTsN 7 Tulungagung? 3) Is there any correlation between parental support and students’ English achievement at MTsN 7 Tulungagung? Research method: 1) The research design of this study was correlation research, 2) The population of this study was the population is all of parents of the students at class VII at MTsN 7 Tulungagung, 3) The samples were taken from parents of the students at class VII-D and VII-E each 10 parents, all of the students amount 67 students. The researcher takes the sample 20 parents, 4) The research instrument was in the form of questionnaire, 5) The data analysis was using rank spearman. The result showed based on SPSS 16 goes to 0.753. Mean while according to the table of rank spearman value with N = 20 at the degree 5% of significance of correlation goes to 0.447 and the degree 1% of significance of correlation goes to 0.570. So it can be said that the value of statistical analysis 0.753 is greater than 0.447 and 0.753 is greater than 0.570. It means that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. In other words, it can be said that there is positive correlation between parental support and students’ English achievement at MTsN 7 Tulungagung.
