Abstract

ABSTRACT Thesis with the title “Teacher Strategy in Developing Student Discipline Culture in Ibtidaiyah Muassasah Assaqafah Al-Islamiah Poming, Patani (Thailand)” was written by Sareena Reangpradid, NIM 1725143265, Department of Islamic Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Science Teaching, State Islamic Institute of Tulungagung, advisor by Dr. H. Mochamad Arif Faizin, M.Ag. Keywords: Teacher Strategy, Student Discipline Culture This study discusses the strategy of teachers in developing the culture of student discipline in Ibtidaiyah Muassasah Assaqafah Al-Islamiah Poming, Patani (Thailand), and compliance is more emphasized on self-awareness not because of coercion. The fact that happens to the environment, children are always less disciplined and have less sense of responsibility in school, not doing homework, less respect for teachers. This is the basis for the formation of student character and personality. The purpose of this study are: (1) How are the forms of students discipline culture in Ibtidaiyah Muassasah Assaqafah Al-Islamiah Poming, Patani (Thailand) (2) How is the role of teachers in developing the culture of discipline students in Ibtidaiyah Muassasah Assqafah Al-Islamiah Poming, Patani (Thailand) (3) How to constrain in developing student discipline culture in Ibtidaiyah Muassasah Assaqafah Al-Islamiah Poming, Patani (Thailand). To achieve the above objectives, this research uses a qualitative research approach with the type of descriptive method research. Key information is from the school, teachers and students in the school of Muassasah Assaqafah Al- Islamiah Poming, Patani (Thailand), and the subject of research is the whole students ranging from class I to class IV in Ibtidaiyah Muassasah Assaqafah Al- Islamiah Poming, Patani (Thailand). Data collection techniques used is observation, interview and documentation. Data were analyzed by using data reduction and present data. This thesis is useful for schools, the results of this research can be used as a foothold or input in order to improve the strategy of teachers in developing the culture of discipline students in Ibtidaiyah Muassasah Assaqafah Al-Islamiah Poming, Patani (Thailand), in the next year is better. The result of the research shows that (1) the forms of discipline cultural of students in Ibtidaiyah Muassasah Assaqafah Al-Islamiah Poming, Patani (Thailand) that is time discipline, attitude discipline and discipline enforce the rules, (2) the role of teacher in developing the discipline culture of student in Ibtidaiyah Muassasah Assaqafah Al-Islamiah poming, Patani (Thailand) is giving exemplary in attitude, training and habituation for students through extracurricular that there are violations for students who violate school rules and give rewards to students who are always active and do not violate school rules, (3) obstacles in developing the discipline culture of student in Ibtidaiyah Muassasah Assaqafah Al-Islamiah Poming, Patani (Thailand) there are some students who are idle in performing their duties, and lack awareness or unchanging from bad behavior.
