The problem formulation in this research is: Do the students have better score taught by using Bamboo Dancing Technique in teaching speaking than those students who learning speaking without using Bamboo Dancing Technique? This research aims to measure the effectiveness of using Bamboo Dancing Technique in teaching speaking. It was conducted at SMAN 1 Ngunut in the academic year 2017/2018 as research subject. The subject of this study amounted to 349 students of class X. In this research, the researcher used a quantitative approach to finding out answers from research. Technique of data collection used tests. This method of the research was quasi experimental. The sample determination used cluster sampling technique. There were two classes in this research, X MIPA 3 as experimental group (teaching by using Bamboo Dancing Technique) with 35 students and X MIPA 2 as control group (teaching without using Bamboo Dancing Technique) with 36 students. The researcher provides pretest and posttest for both groups. The result of this research indicated that the mean score of the students in the experimental group was 65.71, while the mean score of the students in the control group was 60.00. The researcher used t-test calculations with SPSS 22.0 version to measure hypothesis testing. The result of t-test calculation showed that Sig (2-Tailed) value was less than 0.05 significance level, which was 0.001 < 0.05. It means that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. In conclusion, based on the result above states that the students of the tenth grade at SMAN 1 Ngunut have better score taught by using Bamboo Dancing Technique in teaching speaking than those students who learning speaking without using Bamboo Dancing Technique.
