Abstract

The living Qur’an research in this article examines the practice of reading Q.S. Yaasiin Ayat 9 and 83 for the ultimate asthma and panglimunan in the Pagar Nusa Pencak Silat at Pondok Jidarul Ummah, Pakel, Tulungagung Regency. The practice is carried out by members who have become coaches or coaches assistant. In this case, the researcher uses a phenomenological approach based on observation, and interviews using qualitative analysis. Then the meaning generated uses an analysis based on the sociological theory of knowledge from Karl Mannheim which includes three categories of meaning, namely objective meaning, that from thr practice of Yaasiin verses 9 and 83 with the aim of getting the ultimate panglimunan (disappearing), expressive meaning, hope not to get magical powers, but also to gain convenience in other things, and avoid all froms of evil, and documentary meaning, the practice becomes a routine that is carried oud consistenly, which will indirectly train Pagar Nusa members to practice other practices more consistenly.
