State Islamic University Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, Advisor: Dr. H. Muh. Basuni M.Pd. Keywords: Effectiveness, Anagram Game, Vocabulary Mastery Vocabulary is an essential component of language proficiency and serves as the foundation for how well learners speak, listen, read, and write. The game creates a sense of competition in students' participation in the vocabulary learning process and motivates them to learn enthusiastically. Anagram game is a word that has been rearranged from the same letter into another word. The purpose of this study was to investigate how effective the anagram game was at enhancing seventh grade students' vocabulary mastery at MTSN 5 Blitar. To achieve this purpose, this study formulated a problem, namely, "Is there any significant difference in vocabulary mastery scores before and after being taught vocabulary using anagram games?". This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. Data was collected from a population of seventh grade students at MTSN 5 Blitar. The sample consisted of VII-A consisting of 32 students, and VII-B consisting of 32 students. Class VII-A as the experimental class and class VII-B as the control class, by administering a pre- and post-test. Data in the form of numbers were obtained from analysis using the parametric sample T-Test with SPSS 25 to calculated the data. The results showed that anagram games were used effectively to improve seventh grade students' vocabulary mastery at MTSN 5 Blitar. The statistical analysis shows that the significant value is 0.005 and is shown lower than 0.05, meaning that there is a significant difference in students' scores before and after being taught with the anagram game on students' vocabulary mastery.
