Abstract
This monograph is developed to nurture the joy of reading for specifically students of English for Young learners. People agree that establishing good habits of reading from the early age is significant in order that children will grow up as literate people.Yet, the problem which mostly arise for those living in a suburban area is lack of readers. Thus, this product of a Research and Development is named Joyful Story Sheets (JoSS) that provide them with various interesting reading. The readers were developed in accordance with their school grades (3,4,5,6) and based on some Islamic values like discipline, hardworking, independence, honesty, and tolerance with the hope that children can take some moral values as reflected in the stories. Each grade consists of 5 characters-based JoSS with 40 different story-sheets. Hence, this product of JoSS consists of 160 various interesting story sheets at the level of children’s English proficiency and interest.
