Abstract

The Qur'an discusses things that are hidden (unseen). One of them is about hidden (supernatural) things that people often discuss, namely jinn. Among the mufassir, when talking about spirits (jinn) it is clear that there will be different views regarding their essence. This paper aims to explore its significance and then reaffirm it for the benefit of shared knowledge. This research is a type of literature or library research. The method of this research is thematic, namely exploring the verses of the theme and looking at the interpretations of certain mufassirs who on this occasion explored the description of KH. Bisri Musthofa in Al-Ibriz, who, like the author, wants to know two things, namely the meaning of jinn and the conception of knowledge from KH. Bisri Musthofa. This literature research resulted in the knowledge that jinn are creatures just like other creatures, which were created nothing but to worship Allah SWT. Jinn are also like humans, there are men and women, there are those who are devout in worship and there are also those who deny it, it's just that jinn were created from fire while humans were created from clay.
