Abstract

Currently there are many phenomena of moral decadence which are marked by deviant behaviors that are increasingly occurring, for example criminal acts such as klitih. Character education in both formal and non-formal educational institutions is very important to create a peaceful society. This study aims to determine the implementation of character education in Islamic boarding schools ora aji. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. Research data obtained through observation and interviews. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis, by condensing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that character education at the Ora Aji Islamic boarding school was carried out through (1) a study of the book of morals; (2) direct examples from caregivers and asatidz; (3) an atmosphere of kinship and mutual cooperation; and (4) the presence of rewards and punishments
