Abstract

In the scope of education, libraries have usability as a means or a place for learning and communication for users. In addition, the library was built as an institution to realize the goal of educating the nation's generation in accordance with the statement in the 4th Alenia 1945 Constitution. This study aims to determine the role of libraries in supporting non-formal education at the Al-Kamal Integrated Islamic Boarding School. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. Sources of data used in this study came from primary data sources and secondary data sources. Researchers took as many as 10 informants consisting of 4 librarians and 6 users with snowball sampling technique. The results of this study are, the library of the integrated al-kamal Islamic boarding school has a role in supporting the education of the integrated al-kamal Islamic boarding school, as well as supporting the learning activities of students who need religious references, honing the creativity of students through various competitions organized by the manager of the boarding school in commemoration of major holidays, recreational facilities for students to become productive, creative, and critical thinking individuals.
