Abstract

Initially, the religious studies were delivered directly where the Kyai and the students were in the same place, but due to technological developments, these recitations could be recorded and replayed through various social media, one of which is YouTube. This research was conducted with the aim of describing and analyzing one of the Hadith studies broadcast on YouTube by Gus Baha' with Arba'in Nawawi's hadith material in the intention chapter. This research is virtual ethnographic in nature, in which data is taken from YouTube channels, namely "Tafsir NU" and "Islamic Studies With Gus Baha''. The formulation of the problem in this study includes the technical study of Gus Baha's hadith and the content contained in Gus Baha''s study of hadiths about intentions. First, Gus Baha's study used the bandongan method, which in his delivery used the Javanese Pegon language, as was the tradition of the Salaf Islamic boarding schools. Second, the explanatory material includes elements of fiqh, history, thoughts, and qaul of shahabat, contextualization of the meaning of hijrah, and teachings of Sufism, which include the contextualization of the meaning of zuhud, ihklas, and the actualization of the concept of tawadhu’.Keywords:Gus Baha’, Arba’in Nawawi, Hadis Niat, YouTube
