Abstract
This study aims to determine how far learning with the use of multiple representations can increase students' problem-solving abilities in Newton's II law material. The study's subjects included 24 students from SMA Negeri 8 Malang's class X1. This study used an instrument in the form of an integrated concept mastery test with problem-solving capabilities, which included six multiple-choice questions with reasons, interview guides, and problem-solving observation sheets. The approach in this study was mixed methods with an embedded experimental model design. The study's findings showed that using multiple representations could increase students' problem-solving abilities from an average of 1.1 approaching level 1 to 2.2 approaching level 2. Learning with multiple representations can also make students from novice behavior to experts in solving Newton's II law problems. Key words: Newton's second law, multiple representations, problem solving
