Abstract

The dialectics between religion and science is something important in later periods to discuss. Religions face a serious challenge from science because the latter claims to answer many things that became in past periods the mysteries of God which were religious fields. Science with its tendency to explore, to invent, to research, and to review all past findings tries to provide what human beings need. While Science runs very fast to pierce the limit of religious doctrine, religion comes to respond to this challenge using issues of value in which subjectivity and objectivity of science are tested. It is in this locus and tempus that both religion and science are pursued to mutually dialectic and open their respective horizons. And Islamic studies, anyhow, is at this crossroads of challenge.
