Abstract

Academic Reading and Writing: When Technology Meets the Process is a comprehensive book that explores the intersection of academic reading and writing with technology. This book has three main themes: academic writing and technology, academic writing in words, and academic writing and reading pedagogy. The first theme discusses the state of the arts of teaching academic writing, appraisal perspectives, academic writing assessments, the core concept, features, writers' block, and practical solutions in academic writing. The second theme, uncovered the topics of academic writing and artificial intelligence technology, as well as blended learning and corpus-driven technology for EFL academic writing in a higher education context. The last theme reveals critical issues, material authenticity, and activating learners‘ emotional experience, and professional identity construction through volunteering in academic reading and writing contexts.
