Keywords : Practice of English Vocabulary, Teaching Design, Setting Activities in Learning Vocabulary Vocabulary is one of the most important components in a language because vocabulary is the basis for learning a language. In addition, vocabulary is also considered the main focus in learning a foreign language. The reason is that learning a foreign language is almost the same as learning vocabulary. The level of vocabulary mastery of students at State Junior High School 2 Panggul Trenggalek is at the lower middle level. This is caused by several factors. Most of the students who register themselves have not received adequate English lessons. In addition, the low interest of students learning also affects the students vocabulary mastery. Moreover factors less supportive environment is also the main influences in learning vocabulary. In such a situation, English teachers there are committed to improve students vocabulary mastery through several practices that are carried out. So regarding to this phenomenon, this research was conducted to determine the teacher of teaching practices carried out by English teachers there to improve vocabulary mastery in students. There were three formulations of the problem in this study, there were: (1). How does the teacher designs teaching and learning English Vocabulary at State Junior High School 2 Panggul Trenggalek?, (2). What activities are set by the teacher to facilitate students in learning English vocabulary at State Junior High School 2 Panggul Trenggalek?, and (3). How can the students learn better from the set activities in learning English Vocabulary at State Junior High School 2 Panggul Trenggalek? This research used a case study with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study consisted of four people, including one English teacher and three students. The data in this study were collected by doing interview, observation, and documentation. Then the data were analyzed by using procedures proposed by Miles and Huberman (1984) covering condensation data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. The findings related to the formulation of problem number one regarding how teachers design English vocabulary teaching and learning at State Junior High School 2 Panggul Trenggalek show that in the practice of teaching vocabulary, teachers designed learning activities divided into three stages, including: (1). Pre Teaching, (2). While Teaching, and (3). Post Teaching. Then for the data findings related to the formulation of problem number two regarding the activities set by teachers to facilitate students in learning English vocabulary at State Junior High School 2 Panggul Trenggalek showed that in learning activities, English teachers set several interesting activities to stimulate students interest in vocabulary learning. These activities included activities in the classroom (in the context of learning design) by doing drilling, practicing, and doing the exercise. The next activity was an activity in the classroom (outside the context of learning design) by holding an additional program in the form of “One Day One Vocabulary” and providing game methods and ice breaking in vocabulary learning activities. Meanwhile, for the data findings related to the formulation of problem number three regarding how students can learn better from activities that have been set in learning English vocabulary at State Junior High School 2 Panggul Trenggalek, it showed that students could learn well through the design and activities applied by English teachers in teaching vocabulary. In addition, through these activities, students could learn in a fun way, so that gradually the students vocabulary mastery improving getting.
