Thesis, English Education Program. State Islamic Institue (IAIN) of Tulungagung. Advisor: Nanik Sri Rahayu, M. Pd Keyword: Teaching English, Cambridge Curriculum, Elementary School Curriculum plays an important role in education, because in curriculum the objectives of the study was stated and in conducting teaching learning process in the classroom the teacher should follow the procedures based on curriculum. Cambridge Curriculum is one of the curriculum which is implemented in Indonesia education beside KTSP and K13. It is an international curriculum which comes from Cambridge University, so it will be different from the national curriculum. From here, the writer wants to know how to teach English as Foreign Language applying in Cambridge Curriculum especially in SD Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari. By knowing how to teach English using International curriculum, we can use it to be reference to be implemented or make integration between our national curriculum and international curriculum in order to get a better education system and to achieve the goal of the teaching English as Foreign Language in our country. The formuation of the research problems are: (1) What are the methods used by the teacher in teaching English and the application of teaching English using Cambridge curriculum in SD Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari? (2) What are the media used by the teacher in teaching English using Cambridge curriculum in SD Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari? (3) What is the instructional material that used by the teacher in teaching English using Cambridge curriculum in SD Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari? (4) What are the evaluation techniques applied in teaching English using Cambridge curriculum in SD Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari? The objectives of this study were (1) To describe the methods used by the teacher in teaching English and the application of teaching English using cambridge curriculum in SD Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari. (2) To describe the media used by the teacher in teaching English using Cambridge curriculum in SD Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari. (3) To describe the instructional material used by the teacher in tecahing English using Cambridge curriculum in SD Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari. (4) To describe about the evaluations technique applied in teaching English in SD Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari. This research design used in this study is descriptive with qualitative approach. Data source of this research was English teacher who taught fifth grade students of SD Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari. The techniques of data collection of this research were interview, observation, and documentation. In addition to check the validity of data, the writer also employed trianggulation. The research findings were: the material used in teaching English using Cambridge curriculum was non-fiction text about the cross culture of the countries in the world. In SD Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari the media which were used in that school, those was visual media. The methods which were generally used by English teacher at SD Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari were direct method, grammar translation method, and audio-lingual method. And evaluation technique used by the teacher was formative assessment that was the teacher always gives question related with the material, Summative assessment in the form of Center Progression test (CPT), International Progression Test (IPT), and Cambridge Check Point.
