Abstract
Trigonometry learning at Kauman 1 High School faces challenges due to the abstract nature of the material and the dominance of conventional teaching methods with minimal integration of technology. Students’ low conceptual understanding, reflected in prior learning outcomes, necessitates innovative technology-based approaches such as GeoGebra to visualize mathematical concepts interactively. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of GeoGebra in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding of trigonometry and to analyze students responses of using GeoGebra Apps in class during mathematic of trigonometry .Quantitative quasi-experimental design with a posttest-only nonequivalent control group was employed. The sample consisted of 80 Grade X students divided into experimental (GeoGebra-based learning) and control (conventional learning) groups. Data were collected through conceptual understanding tests and student response questionnaires, then analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test and descriptive statistics. Results revealed that the experimental group demonstrated significantly higher conceptual understanding (p-value = 0.000), with a posttest average of 85.87 compared to the control group’s 76.05. Additionally, 87.5% of students responded positively to GeoGebra, with the highest indicators being interest in concept exploration (mean = 4.01) and motivation to achieve learning goals (mean = 3.78). These findings underscore the potential of GeoGebra as an effective tool for improving trigonometry comprehension and engagement in mathematics education. Keywords: GeoGebra, Conceptual Understanding, Trigonometry, Learning Outcomes, Interactive Learning, Quasi-Experiment.
