Key Words: affix, derivational affixes, inflectional affixes Morphological analysis is the main areas in studying vocabulary. Morphological analysis itself is analysis that is breaking a word into its elements (base, prefix and suffix). Meanwhile, derivational and inflectional affixes are the main types of word building in morphological analysis. So, it is important for the students to study both of them. When the students are able to identify derivational and inflectional affixes, they can develop their vocabulary because from just one word it can gain many words with different part of speech. Then they will be able to use it properly in their speaking or writing. Movie is type of visual communication which use moving pictures and sound contains a series of human life stories with others around them with accentuate the character and nature of the actor. Movie entitled This Is Us by Morgan Spurlock is a movie inspired by a true story from the members of One Direction: Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson. The formulations of the research problems were: 1) What are types of derivational affixes used by One Direction in This Is Us movie subtitle? 2) What are types of inflectional affixes used by One Direction in This Is Us movie subtitle? The purpose of this research were: 1) To know the types of derivational affixes used by One Direction in the movie subtitle of This Is Us, 2) To know the inflectional affixes used by One Direction in the movie subtitle of This Is Us. The research design used in this research: 1) This research was categorized as descriptive qualitative research by using documentation where researcher tries to find out the derivational, inflectional affix and the base from the words without using statistical calculation as the method in collecting data. 2) The data are words that are attached prefix and suffix of derivational and inflectional affixes. 3) The data source is all words spoken by One Direction which are the beginning of the story, rising the case to the end which taken from This Is Us movie subtitle. The results of analyzing data were gained are: 1) The writer found out there were two kinds of derivational affixes; prefix and suffix. 2) There are 13 prefixes which 5 of them change the lexical category of the base word and 8 prefixes only change the meaning. 3) There 130 derivational suffixes found where 44 of them are nominal suffixes include noun derived from verb, noun derived from adjective, noun derived from noun and diminutive. Then 43 adjectival suffixes derived from noun and verb. Next, 41 adverbial suffixes derived from adjective and noun, two verbal suffixes derived from adjective. 4) There are 379 inflectional affixes which 136 are plural marker, 78 of progressive marker, 64 of past tense marker, 40 of 3rd singular marker, 35 of past participle marker, 10 of them are possessive and superlative marker, and the last 6 of comparative marker. From here, they had shown that the most frequently used is inflectional affixes. Based on the research above, the writer suggests some suggestions, they were: 1) For the students: they should have more study the derivational and inflectional affixes not only from their hand book but also from another sources like movie subtitle. 2) For the teacher: they should have to vary the teaching and learning media especially in teaching vocabulary and grammar is one of by using movie subtitle. 3) For the future researcher: they should have to use different resources to find more of types or pattern of derivational and inflectional affixes.
