Registered number student 17203153165. 2019. “Stimulating Students’ Creativity in Writing Through Marquee Media (Running Text) of the Tenth Grade Students at MAN 2 Jombang”. English Education Departement. State Islamic Institute of Tulungagung. Advisor: Nany Soengkono Madayani, SS, M.Pd. Keywords: Stimulate, Creativity, Writing, Marquee (Running Text) Writing is one of English skill that is used in transferring thoughts and feeling from ideas into a piece of paper and writing one of the media communication with other people. Through writing, students will be able to increase their knowledge and get information. Writing is about how far we know about vocabularies, how far we know about the structure of sentences, and how far we know about the grammatical structure of the word because actually writing is a process, not a product. For doing the process of increasing their skill, there are same ways or common ways that used, it is called innovation. Innovation here means the media which used in learning. The media used is Marquee media (running text) to make students to be more active and creative in writing, because students not only learn to write, but also learn to read. The formula of research problems were: (1) How is the implementation of using Marquee media (Running text) for stimulating student’s creativity in writing learning in the tenth grade of MAN 2 Jombang? 2) How are the students’ responses of using Marquee media (Running text) for stimulating their creativity in writing learning in the first grade of MAN 2 Jombang? 3) What are the difficulties faced by the student in the implementation of using Marquee media (Running text) for stimulating their creativity in writing learning in the tenth grade of MAN 2 Jombang?. The research design of this was descriptive design with qualitative approach. The data sources are the English teacher and the students of X-Social 2 in MAN 2 Jombang. The methods of collecting data are by class observation, Giving questionnaire, interview and also documentation, with the instrument for conducting the techinique are observation sheet, questionnaire sheet, interview guide, and also documentation which contain of photos, fieldnote and profile of teacher and students. The data analysis is by using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing & verification. This research the data of implementation marquee media (running text) which give a different color of study for students when it apllied in recount text learning. Then, it produced various responses from students, from good to bad responses. researchers grouped their responses from the start of responses related to their interests and cognitive aspects. After learning the students' responses to marquee learning media, especially the bad response of students, researchers tried to explore the difficulties faced by students in the process of stimulating their ability to use the media. therefore, in the response questionnaire, the researcher also included the categories of student difficulties that students might face. because researchers consider difficulties to be one of the main factors determining the success of creative writing learning using these media.
