Keywords: Students’ Interest, Remote Learning Mode The government issued a new policy to stop the spread of Covid-19, namely implementing physical distancing for the community or providing distance and avoiding crowds. In this condition, all teachers or educators are required to replace learning using E-learning, remote learning mode or through online media. The remote learning mode is also a formal education but has not been so ogled by students where this learning requires students and teachers to be in separate locations so that it requires an interactive telecommunication system to connect them. This case the researcher tries to examine students' interest in learning English through remote learning mode. This research is aimed to find out the level of students interest in learning English through remote learning mode and to find out the students interest of remote learning mode application types. The researcher chose online survey research for conducting the research; the population is students of SMPN 1 Ngunut and the sample were 121 students. The researcher used closed ended questionnaire to find out the level of students’ interest in learning English through remote learning mode. The total questions of questionnaire are 20 items. The result of this research showed that students of SMPN 1 Ngunut are interested in learning English through remote learning mode. It can be shown that mean score of students interested is 80.48%, its mean that the level of student interest in learning English through remote learning mode is very high. Then the majority of students at this school are interested in using Google classroom as a remote learning mode application type. It is indicated by a significant percentage as 54% of students. It can be concluded that RLM is an attractive method for students to learn English during the COVID-19 pandemic or not. So this method should continue to be developed to be more efficient in its use in the future.
