Keywords: Movie, Deixis, Person Deixis One of the most important parts of human life is language. Language is used by people to communicate. To comprehend the meaning of any language communication, it must understand the context first, which includes things like person, time, and place where language is uttered. Both language and situation are inextricably linked. They are related to each other. The reference is linked to contextual meaning. Depending on the speaker’s meaning, each phrase can relate to a variety of things. Deixis demonstrates the phenomena in which contextual information is required to grasp the meaning of specific words and phrases in an utterance. Because the sentences in the movie script relate to spoken language, it is an excellent object for examining deixis especially person deixis. The utterances of the main character “Elsa” in Frozen II movie is the appropriate movie to analyze person deixis because the plot of the story occurs in daily life also she has the most utterances than any others character in the movie. So in this research, the writer carries out the research entitled “Person Deixis Analysis of the Main Character in Frozen II Movie Script”. Deixis belongs to pragmatics the word deixis comes from greek that means pointing. There are three types of person deixis: first person, second person, and third person. Also, there are two types of deixis usages: gestural and symbolic. There were two statements of research problem in this research. The first problem was what are types of person deixis found in Frozen II movie?. The second was how are the usages of person deixis accompanying the character in Frozen II movie?. The objective of this research were to know the types of person deixis found in Froze II movie and to know the types of person deixis usages accompanying the character in Frozen II movie. This research belongs to qualitative research. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative. The object of this research was the Frozen II movie. The data procedure of data analysis were:1) Selecting the data, 2) Analyzing the data, 3) Classifying the data, and 4) Interpreting the data. The data were analyzed based on deixis theory that are proposed by Levinson (1983), Yule (1996), and Dylgjeri & Kazazi (2013). Based on the analysis, it was found that: there were three types of person deixis in Elsa’s utterances found in Frozen II movie, those were first person: I, Me, My, Us, We, Our; second person: You, Your; and third person: Her, It, They, The, Their. Whereas the usages of deixis found in the Frozen II movie were gestural and symbolic usages. Due to the fact that deixis is an important reference, it is expected that this research will help the students and the other readers to learn the pragmatics aspects, especially person deixis, types of person deixis, and its usages.
