Keywords: Writing, Narrtaive Text, Students Problem in Pandemic Covid-19 This study was conducted to diagnose difficulties in writing narrative texts. The process and results of this research were put together and in a paper entitled "Students' Problems in Writing Narrative Texts for Class IX Students at MTSN 6 Tulungagung In the Covid-19 Pandemic" the research aims to 1 ) find out the difficulties faced by students in writing narrative texts. 2) Knowing the factors of students' difficulties in writing narrative texts in class IX MTSN 6 Tulungagung. Writing is a complex activity that requires a lot of concentration and knowledge of what we are going to write. sometimes you write or want to tell a story, it is called narrative. In writing a narrative, explain and tell others about something that happened in the past. Examples of writing about you being in a situation that is surprising, pleasant, unpleasant or even dangerous. In this study, the authors looked for students' difficulties in writing more detailed narrative texts. The author uses a qualitative method as a case study. General case studies use a variety of methods to collect and analyze data, rather than being confined to a single procedure. The case study method is a very popular form of qualitative analysis and involves careful and complete observation of a unit, be it a person, a family, an institution, a cultural group, or even an entire society. The author chose this method because it relates to problems at the junior high school level. From this analysis, the writer concludes that students have difficulty in writing narrative texts and other types. From the text, the authors also found problems with students, namely they did not understand maximally about narrative texts because of the covid-19 pandemic which made students only able to study online or receive material online, making students still confused and had difficulty understanding English. lessons include narrative text material, another problem caused by the covid-19 pandemic is the large number of teachers who give assignments to students, making it difficult for students to understand the lesson. So theauthors found the factors that caused students' difficulties in writing narrative texts in class IX MTSN 6 Tulungagung, namely: 1) As some students never read or practice English lessons, especially writing narrative texts and lacked their vocabulary. they do not understand the type of text well, especially narrative text; They are lazy to learn and use mainly vocabulary in daily activities, lack motivation to write in English and learn English well, despite the lack of focus and understanding of a material, write narrative texts because of the many assignments given by the teacher during the pandemic. this covid-19. 2) Teachers are less motivated, less attractive and innovative in teaching methods and teachers also give too many assignments to students which makes students unable to understand the material optimally during the covid19 pandemic, the teacher provides little material. . In closing this research report, the author would like to give some suggestions. Hopefully, it can be a good input for further writing learning and this paper can be used as a reference for further researchin other fields.
