Key Words: Teachers' Pedagogical Competence, Students' characters The implementation of online or offline learning activities cannot replace the important role of teachers. The teacher's pedagogic competence will play an important role for teachers to students in order to transfer the knowledge also character education. Understanding and mastering the character of students is the first and important aspect of pedagogic competence. In line with the character education. Currently in Indonesia there has been a crisis of morals and character in children. Developing and evaluating the pedagogical competence of a teacher during this online learning is very importance. Educational components must be optimized as well as possible. The problem that must be solved is “how teachers manage their pedagogic competence in educating students' character during online learning at MA Mambaul Ulum Jombang”. The purpose of this research is to answer the questions above. Thisi research is ai qualitativei research, using a qualitative descriptive design that describes the teachers' pedagogical competence in educating student characters in teaching English in MA Mambaul Ulum Jombang. There are two English teachers as the subject of this research. Data collection instruments used are observation, interviews and documentation. In this research, the researcher uses triangulation data to validate the data iBased ion ithe ianalysis, it was found that the English teachers at MA Mambaul Ulum Jombang have good pedagogic competence in educating students character especially in character responsibility and discipline, as evidenced by the teachers being able to identify the learning character of each student in the class which will be used as a data source to determine learning models and strategies in teaching. The teacher can iensure ithat all istudents ihave iequal opportunitiesi to participate actively in learning activities and can organize classes to provide equali learning opportunities to all students with different physical disabilities and learning abilities using varied learning methods and media. The teacher can find out the causes of deviations in student behavior to prevent this behavior from harming other students by follows up on every student who commits deviant behavior to Counselors in schools and Student Affairs. The teacher can pay attention to students with certain physical weaknesses in order to be able to participate in learning activities, so that these students are not marginalized by giving appreciation, attentioni andi feedbacki toi studentsi who have physical, imental ior iintellectual iweaknesses iso that they still feel part of from class. Then The teacher can help develop potential and overcome deficiencies and delays in understanding students by using various methods and strategies, combining various strategies in educating character and developing students' potential. The strategies that teachers use in educating students’ characterare moral acting, moral modelling, exemplary, advice, habitual, and punishment. Thei resultsi of ithis study indicatei that ithe teacher's pedagogic competence in educating students' character at MA Mambaul Ulum Jombang shows ithat ithe teacher's pedagogic competence is quite good because the English teacher at MA Mambaul Ulum has carried out the maximum student character building learning procedures and demonstrated their duties optimally.
