Keywords: Discourse Analysis, cohesion, Grammatical Cohesive Devices. An important part of human life and the never ending growth of language affecting in many factors especially in the written discourse. creating a sense of a comfort, having a good structure and arrangement must have a big attention for keeping the readers read more and more and feel enjoy with the written text. matching with those needs, Discourse Analysis can be an alternative for making the written discourse cohesive and interconnected within each other. In a basic part, using Grammatical Cohesive Devices can be a first step realizing a good structure, interconnecting every single text in order to create a good quality of a written discourse. The formulation of research problems were the kind of Grammatical Cohesive Devices appear in the selected article from Jakarta Post online newspaper and also the most Grammatical Cohesive Devices used in the selected article from Jakarta Post online newspaper. The objective of the research were to find out the kind of Grammatical Cohesive Devices appeared in the selected article from Jakarta Post online newspaper and also to investigate the most Grammatical Cohesive Devices used in the selected article from Jakarta Post online newspaper. This research used qualitative descriptive analysis and library research method. The data were collected from selected article from Jakarta Post online newspaper period March 14, 2021 and March 27, 2021. Then the data were analyzed by using content analysis by identifying the kind of Grammatical Cohesive Devices appeared, Classifying the Grammatical Cohesive Devices appeared, and Counting the Grammatical Cohesive Devices appeared. From the analysis, the researcher found 254 Grammatical Cohesive Devices used in Jakarta Post online newspaper period March 14, 2021 and March 27, 2021. 254 Grammatical Cohesive Devices include 191 or 75,79% the use of Reference, 2 or 0,79% the use of Substitution, 11 or 4,36% the use of Ellipsis, and 48 or 19,04% the use of Conjunction. In conclusion, all of the kinds of Grammatical Cohesive Devices were found and Reference is the most frequently used in the Jakarta Post online newspaper period March 14, 2021 and March 27, 2021.
