ABSTRACT Deby Alvionita (2022), The Implementation of Blended Learning in Teaching English at SMPN 1 Tulungagung. Undergraduated Thesis, English Language Education, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training. UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmahtullah Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Hj. Nanik Sri Rahayu, M.Pd Keywords: Blended Learning, Implementation, Learning Systems Due to a pandemic that causes high school students to experience limitations in learning, the practice of blended learning allows students and teachers to interact with each other and develop their skills. Therefore, the researcher want to know the implementation of blended learning in SMPN 1 Tulungagung. The research question of this study is how the implementation of Blended Learning at SMPN 1 Tulungagung. The objective of this research is to know the implemetation of Blended Learning at SMPN 1 Tulungagung. This study used the descriptive qualitative research design. The research subject is 2 English teachers. The data was collected using interviews and observations. In the implementation of Blended Learning, the learning process has flexibility and creates opportunities to study independently, but is highly dependent on the internet and devices. It also creates a better collaboration between teachers and students even though there are still a few number of less active students in class. Furthermore, in blended learning teachers use digital assessment in assessing students' works and exams. Based on the research results, blended learning is a learning system with many advantages and is very suitable for secondary schools, especially under certain conditions such as during this pandemic.
