(2) Dr. Erna Iftanti, S.S., M.Pd Keywords: Learning Motivation, Metacognitive Awareness, reading Self- efficacy, Reading Comprehension, Path Annalysis. Many factors can affect the process of acquiring reading skills. Student Reading Strategies are a great way to see students' abilities to learn from text in different ways and learn meaning in different contexts. Metacognition while reading involves the activation of students' cognitive and affective processes while reading. This research aims to explore the relationship between metacognitive consciousness, self-efficacy and reading comprehension in MA SUNAN KALIJAGA Kediri eleventh grade students. This study uses quantitative data as study design. Then the instrument of this study is a questionnaire. To measure the quality of students in reading, the researcher uses a questionnaire, question adapted from Jinks and Morgan's (1999) Morgan Jinks Student Effectiveness Scale (MJSES) and introspection ability. For the Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ), Pinrich and De Groot (1989). Second, the Metacognitive Reading Strategy (MRSA) question was adopted to measure a learner's metacognitive strategy, the latter for a test of reading comprehension derived by the researcher from the Longman Complete Course Comprehension Section Test. The questionnaire is distributed on paper with translation into Indonesian for better understanding by students. As a result of this study, the researcher wanted to identify the giant dating between self-efficacy in reading and metacognitive awareness, the relationship between self-efficacy in reading and achievement in reading comprehension, metacognitive orientation and analysis of self-efficacy with the analysis of achievement understanding of eleventh graders. M.A. Sunan Kalijaga Kediri.
