Thesis English Education Departement. Magister Program. State Islamic University of Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Dwi Astuti Wahyu Nurhayati, S.S., M.Pd and Dr. Susanto, S.S., M.Pd Keyword: Vocabulary Teaching Strategies, Blended Learning In getting success in learning English, the students have to be able to perform the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Vocabulary is essential for building knowledge of a new language. But, one of the problems in learning English is the difficulty to memorize the vocabulary. The students who learn English as a foreign language have to comprehend the meaning of the words because it is the point for them to understand what they listen to and read. The purpose of this study were: 1) To find out vocabulary teaching strategies in blended learning mode at Mts Darissulamanniyah Durenan Trenggalek; 2) To know the steps of implementing vocabulary teaching strategies in blended learning mode at Mts Darissulaimaniyyah Durenan Trenggalek. The research methods of this study used qualitative methods. This research is descriptive qualitative research that focuses on vocabulary teaching strategies in blended learning mode. The setting of this research is at MTs Darissulaimaniyyah Durenan Trenggalek. The researcher got from two teachers as a research subject, which is the English teacher. The researcher also use class VII to observe directly how the English teacher performed. The technique of data collecting by using observation and interviewing. Based on the result of this study, they were: 1) Strategies used by teachers in teaching English vocabulary using Blended Learning are the Audio Lingual method and Self-defining context. 2) The researcher found that the students have good responses dealing with the vocabulary teaching strategies in blended learning mode. The students are more confident in learning vocabulary when using blended learning. Then students also like this learning process because they can study independently everywhere. By using this strategy, the students felt enthusiastic about learning vocabulary.
