The English Teachers’ Perceptions Toward Online Teaching and Learning During Pandemic COVID-19 at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 1 Kota Blitar. Sarjana Thesis. English Education Department. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic University of Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Muh Basuni, M.Pd. Keywords: English Teachers’ Perceptions, Online Teaching and Learning As the spread of Covid-19 has arisen, many governments all over the world decided to close the school to order to stop the spread of Covid-19. This condition has led teachers to conduct distance learning and shift face-to-face learning to online learning. However, conducting online learning during the pandemic becomes a new challenge for teachers, especially in MTsN Kota 1 Blitar. Further. Covid-19 has triggered various perceptions on the use of online learning during the pandemic. In addition, this research aimed at investigating English teachers’ perception toward online teaching and learning during the pandemic Covid-19 at MTsN 1 Kota Blitar. This research was descriptive quantitative research. In this research, the researcher chose three English teachers from 7 vii th , 8 th , and 9 grade as the sample of the research. To obtain the data, the researcher used a questionnaire and interview as the research instrument. Based on the result of the data analysis, showed that the teachers had a positive perception of the ease, usefulness, and attitude of online teaching and learning during the pandemic Covid-19. In addition, it showed that there were positive perceptions of the perception of ease (71,9%), perception of usefulness (67,9%), and perception of attitude or behavioral intention (73,7%). Further, the interview showed that most teachers showed a positive perception of online learning during the covid-19 outbreak. It showed that online learning is very useful, helpful, and easy to use th during the pandemic. Still, conducting online learning faced difficulties related to effectiveness where the students tend to be passive during the lesson. In short, this research showed that the teachers had positive perceptions of online learning during the pandemic Covid-19.
