Pertiwi, Dhiana. Student Registration Number. 12851021006. 2023. “The Implementation of Cambridge Curriculum on the Third Grade of MI Al Azhaar Bandung in the Academic Year 2022/2023”. Thesis. English Education Department. Graduate Program. Islamic State University Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah of Tulungagung (UIN SATU). Advisors: (1) Dr. Arina Shofiya, M.Pd, and (2) Dr. Susanto, SS., M.Pd. Keywords: Cambridge Curriculum, Teaching Method, Teaching Media, Teaching Materials. This study focusses on the application of Cambridge Curriculum for the third grade of MI Al Azhaar Bandung in order to help students to achieve better ability on acquiring the English language skills. It explained that Cambridge Curriculum is an international curriculum that been developed by Cambridge University. In Indonesia, there are 166 schools that used this curriculum and also more than 9000 schools spread around 160 countries which applied this curriculum. This curriculum was considered interesting by some because this curriculum ensure 4 things; fluency in English language, international perspective, modern education, and opportunity to feel like study in the world’s best campus. Also, it provided more active and attractive way of learning for students. The formulations of the research problems in this writing of this thesis are: (1) what are the goals of teaching English using Cambridge Curriculum in MI Al Azhaar Bandung? (2) what are the suitable methods used by teacher in teaching English using Cambridge Curriculum in MI Al Azhaar Bandung? (3) what are the instructional media used by teacher in teaching English using Cambridge Curriculum in MI Al Azhaar Bandung? (4) what is the instructional material used by teacher in teaching English using Cambridge Curriculum in MI Al Azhaar Bandung? (5) what are the evaluation techniques are applied in teaching English using Cambridge Curriculum in MI Al Azhaar Bandung? The study aims to: (1) to describe the goals of teaching English using Cambridge Curriculum in MI Al Azhaar Bandung; (2) to describe the suitable methods used by teacher in teaching English using Cambridge Curriculum in MI Al Azhaar Bandung; (3) to describe the instructional media used by teacher in teaching English using Cambridge Curriculum in MI Al Azhaar Bandung; (4) to describe the instructional material used by teacher in teaching English using Cambridge Curriculum in MI Al Azhaar Bandung; and (5) to describe the evaluation techniques are applied in teaching English using Cambridge Curriculum in MI Al Azhaar Bandung. The research methods included: (1) the research design in this study was a case study with qualitative approach; (2) the technique of data collection was observation, interview and documentation; (3) the study was held in 3rd grade of MI Al Azhaar Bandung with the vice school principal and third grade teacher as an informant; (4) to analyze the data, writer conducted some steps include data reduction, data display, and conclusion draw. The findings reveal various data regarding the topic, as the goals of applying the Cambridge curriculum at MI Al Azhaar Bandung was so that students able to get different treatment from the use of the national curriculum, more precisely English students. Because students are taught to communicate confidently and effectively with the aim of developing skills, it is also important to respond to various information, media and texts with understanding and joy. For the methods used were Grammar Translation Method, Direct Method, and Audio-Lingual Method. The media used were Whiteboard, Textbook, TV monitor, and Mobile speaker. Instructional material that used was textbook titled “HANG OUT!” published by Asta Ilmu Sukses, and the evaluation techniques used were Assessment Holistic (AH), Center Progression Test (CPT), and Cambridge Assessment Test
