Movie is a part of literature that can express thoughts and feelings by using words and conveyed through a conversation. In a movie, viewers can know and enjoy through visual and audio. When we watch a movie, there are characters and characterization of the story. Characterization is a component of fiction. This is a key aspect of creating an engaging tale. Characters are story performers. Inanimate objects, bugs, animals, and people may all be characters. The characters in a movie are highly significant to the viewers because the characters in the tale help the viewers grasp the storyline in a story. In characterizing a character, it can be started by describing how their personalities are and how their social relationships are. In this research, Since this film includes amazing characters, the researcher was interested in examining the main actor's characterisation. Second, this film has the potential to inspire everyone. As a result, the researcher performed the study described above under the headin “An analysis of characterization of the main character in Anne Frank Diary movie”. The researcher focused on characterization of Personality and social relationship in Anne Frank Diary Movie. The formulation of the research questions of this research are: (1) How are the main characters’ personality found in the “Anne Frank's Diary” movie? (2) How are the main characters’ social relationship in the “Anne Frank's Diary” movie? The aims of this study are to find out: (1) To know the types of the main actor’s personality found in the “Anne Frank’s Diary” movie are. (2) To know how the main actor’s social relationship in the “Anne Frank’s Diary” movie are. The researcher employed a descriptive qualitative technique and a library research strategy. This study was examined using content analysis by the researcher. This study's data sources were Anne Frank Diary movie and transcripts from the “Anne Frank Diary” movie. The data in this study were dialogue that showed the characterization of Personality Anne Frank and Otto Frank and Social Relationships in “Anne Frank Diary” Movie. The result of this research showed that personality found in the Anne Frank Diary movie was phlegmatic personalities are supportive, grateful, respectful, patient, caring, wise, calming, adviser and then in choleric personalities are coward and anger. The social relationship shown Anne Frank with her mother, adored her father, and lovingly envied her sister. Otto Frank was generous, kind, and levelheaded, while the other adults in the annex can be stingy, harsh, and emotional
