ABSCTRACT Salsabila, Anisa Sahda (126203202090) The Effectiveness of Students’ Creative Poster of the Eight-Grade Students’ Speaking Skill at MTsN 1 Tulungagung. Thesis. English Education Department, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training , Universitas Islam Negeri Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung 2024. Advisor : Dr.Susanto, S.S, M.Pd. Keywords : Students’ Creative Poster, Speaking Skill In English lessons, Speaking skills have several components such us grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency, and comprehention that must be learned and mastered , It makes speaking skills complex. For encourage students to participate more actively in speaking practice, engaging media needs to be provided in order to make they are more passionate about speaking lessons. Students may create students’ creative posters that facilitate them practice speaking. This research carried out in order to confirm whether or not students’ creative poster was useful tools for enchancing students’ skill in speaking. The aim of this study was to know whether students’ creative poster gives significant difference score or not on students’ speaking skill at grade eight MTsN 1 Tulungagung.This research used quasy experimental research with quantitative approach (two group pre-test and post-test). The population was grade 8 students at MTsN 1 Tulungagung for the 2023/2024 academic year, it consisted of 319 students. 64 students as samples were selected using purposive sampling techniques in this study. The scores of students’recount speaking becomes quantitative data. Pre-test and Post-test from two classes were used as research instruments. By utilizing SPSS 25.0 version for windows, the data analysis method computed statistic in the form of an independent T-test. The Independent T-test findings demonstrated the Sig value was 0.000, which was less than 0.05. As a result There was significant different scores in students’ speaking skill between the class which is taught by using students’ creative poster and the class which is taught by using conventional strategy at grade eight MTsN 1 Tulungagung. For this reason, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis was rejected. So, utilizing students’ creative poster was effective to support speaking skill of students.
