Keywords : Canva, Classroom Action Research, Worksheets, Writing Skills, Descriptive Text, Teaching Writing Writing skills are an individual's capacity to compose and express ideas, thoughts, or information in written form with clarity, structure, and effectiveness. This capability encompasses several critical aspects, including grammar, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation, and the cohesion and coherence necessary for constructing paragraphs and extended texts. Mastery of writing skills is essential across various contexts academic, professional, and personal because writing remains a primary method of communication and message conveyance. The research problem in this study is: “How can students’ writing skill in descriptive text be improved by using Canva?” Research methods: 1) the research model of this research is pre-experimental, 2) the population in this research is class VIII A students at MTs Baran Kediri, 3) the sample in this research is class VIII A, there are 24 students in total. The result of this research showed that in the cycle I, students obtained an average score of 68.48, with 29% of the students meeting the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). In the cycle II, the average score increased to 83.45, with 87% of the students meeting the KKM. Overall, students' grades improved by 57% compared to the first cycle. During the second cycle, students demonstrated increased creativity in writing, particularly in exploring and utilizing elements within Canva. Many students were already familiar with Canva, which contributed to an enjoyable and engaging learning process.
