Abstract

ABSTRACT This Thesis entitled "Manajemen Kepala Madrasah Dalam Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan Kelas Unggulan (Studi Multisitus di MTsN Tulungagung dan MTsN Model Trenggalek)" was written by Pendi Saprilianto guided by Dr. Ahmad Tanzeh, M.Ag, and Prof. Dr. H. Mujamil Qomar, M.Ag. Keywords: Management, Quality Class Featured The research in this thesis background by the Madrasah’s Tsanawiyah that have a good quality of education in the last few years. Headmaster success in managing the institution so that it can attract student interest. This is one of them embodied in a class that is called by the excellent class. In this excellent class, some of the facilities provided as supporting the success in education, as well as to improve and maintain the quality of Madrasah. The focus of this research is to improve the quality of management in the excellent class. While the research question is: 1) How is the planning in improving the quality of education in the classroom featured in MTsN Tulungagung and MTsN Model Trenggalek?; 2) How to organize in improving the quality of education in the classroom featured in MTsN Tulungagung and MTsN Model Trenggalek?; 3) How is the implementation in improving the quality of education in the classroom featured in MTsN Tulungagung and MTsN Model Trenggalek?; 4) How does the evaluation in improving the quality of education in the classroom featured in MTsN Tulungagung and MTsN Model Trenggalek?. This research was conducted in two research sites are MTsN Tulungagung and MTsN Model Trenggalek and using a qualitative approach to the design of multi-site studies. The data collection techniques used is participatory observation, interview, and study the documentation. Analysis of the data in this study are data reduction, the display of data, and verification of data. Checking the validity of the data were performed in this study there are persistence of observation, triangulation, checking the validity of the data. Conclude from the research, that is: 1) Planning to improve the quality of education featured classes namely: a) preparation of learning that are matters of concern in the process of improving the quality of the excellent class; b) Recruitment of prospective new students a rigorous excellent class a positive impact for potential students who can support the implementation of the program of activities on excellent class; c) The additional hours of lessons every day until 15:15 hours in the form of guidance on subjects that became a national success indicator; d) The educational facilities are quite provided to support the process of these activities, as facilities and infrastructure that will support the success in the action of the program activities; As well as e) The study activities of travel each year as student motivation in learning. 2) The Organizing in improving the quality of education on excellent classes namely: a) Organize the teacher as a managing as well as implement programs on classroom activities; b) Grouping students in some classes are divided into study groups with the ideal number would make it easier for teachers in the implementation of learning. The programs planned activities were structured with a time division to action so there is no implementation of the activities carried out simultaneously. With this form of activity that has been structured so that the aim of improving the quality of education, especially in the excellent class can succes. 3) Implementation of the program on improving the quality of education in the excellent class can be achieved by: a) Implement programs that have been planned activity; b) Every citizen of the madrasah should instill a commitment to support and implement all program activities planned: c) The head of the madrasah as a manager has the responsibility to provide guidance and assist each implementation. This can improve the cooperation between teachers in implementing the activities. 4) Evaluation in improving the quality of education in the excellent class conducted by the headmaster and the class manager featured along with the council in the form of teacher evaluation meeting. Evaluations are conducted in the form every month or evaluation activities in a semester, also in the form of evaluation activity within one year. This is done to identify some of the problems that may be less effective to implement, so that the programs planned in the future to be more effective.
