Hafshoh, Selzhafani, Students Registered Number. 12203193167. 2024. “The Effectiveness of Using Hello English Application on The Students Speaking Skills at MA AtThohiriyah Ngantru” Sarjana Thesis. English Education Department Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic University of Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Keywords: Effectivees, Speaking Skill, Hello English Application Language is a structured communication system consisting of grammar and vocabulary. Speaking is one of skill in language that have to be mastered well by students and intend to obtain the information, preserve the social relationship by communicating to others. Speaking skill are one of the important priorities that must be learned by students who are learning a foreign language. Speaking skill convey information orally in a way that listeners can understand. Speaking is an interactive process in which information is shared, understand and if necessary acted upon by listeners. Students are required to be technology proficient and smart in using foreign languages, this will really help them in interacting widely. Media is a means of communication channels. Media is a tool that can help in needs and activities, rhich nature can make it easer for whom only those who use it. There are several types and forms of media that have been known today, from simple to high-tech, there are natural ones to rich media designed by the school or teacher. Hello English application is an English learning application which enable for learners to learn English and Having interactive lessons with conversational English, vocabularies and grammar topics who developed by Cultural Alley. This research use a quantitative research approach. The design use pre-experimental research in one class. The sample is students class XI at MA At-Thohiriyah. The purpose of the pretest is to measure whether there is an influence on students speaking skill, while the purpose of the post test is to see the impact of learning after using Hello English application as a learning medium. The sample used was 25 students whose valid instruments were measured using Face Validity, Construct Validity, Content Validity and Reliability Test. Then the data collected in this study were analyzed using the Normality Test and Test Homogeneity. The results of the pre-test and post-test show that the results of the Independent Sample T-test are with using SPSS 25.0 analysis, the sig/P-value was less than 0.005. this means there is significant difference in scores between students taught using conventional methods by using the Hello English Application. Therefore, the Hello English Application is effective and can be used alternative media in increasing students speaking skill.
