Keywords: Students’ Strategies, Speaking English Strategy is an overall approach related to implementation, while implementation is carrying out something that has an impact or effect on something. So that the English learning strategy is an action taken by learners in the process of learning English. MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari is Islamic Boarding School, all of students must use English language to comunication to each other. The student must know the strategies used to improve their learning skills, especially then English speaking skills. By knowing good strategies, students can find out what their weaknesses and strengths are in their learning so that students can learn how to speak English well quickly. In improving students’ speaking strategies, a student must master various types of vocab, master grammar and pronounciation. The focus of the research: 1) What are the strategies used by the student in speaking English at MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung, 2) How is the implementation of the strategies in speaking English at MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung?. The researcher used a qualitative research design with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this research were MA Darul Hikmah students. The criteria for selecting students were eleventh graders in MA Darul Hikmah. In this research, the researcher used interview, observation, and documentation. Methods for analysis data are used data reduction, data display, concluding and verifying. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that: 1) The strategies used by the student in speaking English at MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung are cognitive strategies and social affective strategies. 2) The implementation of the strategies in speaking English at MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung are cognitive strategies by imitative, intensive, responsive, interactive, and extensive. Social affective strategies by habituation in speaking, discussion, speeches and conversations.
